Bulk trash pick-up occurs once every quarter. You can start to place items for pick up one week prior to the scheduled pick-up date.
Organic Waste Containers
Organic waste containers can be rented from the city of Phoenix for $5.00 a month. These containers are emptied weekly. You can place manure and other organic waste in the containers for pick up.
Welcome to one of the most unique neighborhoods in all of Phoenix! You may have noticed that the addresses West of 43rd Avenue are Glendale addresses and those East of 43rd Avenue are Phoenix. This conundrum stems from bureaucratic nonsense that makes it difficult for municipalities to change zip codes for lands they annex. In our neighborhood properties, East of 43rd Avenue was always within Phoenix city limits. The properties West of 43rd Avenue were annexed into Phoenix city limits however their zip codes were never changed.
What does that mean for those with properties with Glendale addresses? Nothing, except, they are technically Phoenicians! These properties have City of Phoenix utilities, vote for City of Phoenix Council members, and are governed by City of Phoenix ordinances.
The Sunburst Farms Community Cooperative and the Sunburst Farms Irrigation District serve the same people, however, they are separate organizations.
